Our Weakness and Fear is God's Strength

2 Corinthians 2:3-4 "I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling."

Lord, I have been in the same situation Paul writes about too.  I want desperately to share You with others and then when You give opportunity, depending on the circumstances, I become weak and terrified.   I start thinking; "What if I mess this up?  What if they get really mad at me and want to harm me?  What if I am rejected?"  Considering where Paul was, a Jew in a  Gentile sin ridden city, I can understand his trepidation.
The transformation You made in him is truly amazing.  He is the same man who was so arrogant in his false belief that he hunted down Christians and had some murdered, but is now weak and scared to the point of trembling and totally dependant on You for the strength and words to say. You are truly the God of transformation!
Lord, we all need that transformation in our lives, especially those of us who have been Christians for a long time.  I must daily be submitted to You.  I must remember minute by minute  that without You I can do nothing and that it is ONLY by Your grace, mercy, and resurrection power that I live, breathe, think, and speak. In myself there is still no good thing!  If I do not acknowledge these things, I can become puffed up in my knowledge of You but totally ineffective for You!  Lord, I know sometimes it will be painful to my pride, but please keep me humble!  I want the strength I have to be Yours not mine
