God Shows No Favoritism

Acts 10:34-35 "Then Peter replied, "I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism.  In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right"

Oh Lord,  I know that now more than ever, we live in a "Global Community" because of all of the technology.  But, I find that if I am not careful, I do not see people in other nations as "real".  Because there is so much on film, the internet, and TV, people seem to be fake.  I am SO glad that I work at Liberty University and am now located in the same area as the International Student Center.  Now I see internationals every day and can put names, faces, and nations together.
If we do not get a chance to travel to other lands and actually see where and how they live, we lose touch with the reality that there are Christians all over the world who are REAL, not just actors on film.  They are real with feelings, joys, sorrows, needs, and live life every day.
I know I have heard comments from folks who are frustrated when they have a doctor, help desk person, or teacher from a foreign land because they cannot understand them well and in our "American Arrogance" see them as somehow inferior to us.
Lord, You created all peoples in all nations.  No one is better than another. We are just different.  Help me to always see them and to KNOW them as Peter knew Cornelius!
