Psalm 19:97-104
Lord, this section is hard to put into any categories. There are a lot of "I" statements here which might be viewed as a prideful Psalm telling God how very wonderful a man he is. However: this psalm actually resonates to me what is My Part and what is Your part.
My Part:
Oh, how I love Your law!
I meditate on it all day long.
Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies.
I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on Your statutes.
I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey Your precepts.
I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey Your word.
I have not departed from Your laws,
How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
I gain understanding from Your precepts;
Therefore I hate every wrong path.
Your Part:
For You Yourself have taught me.
What an awesome thing it is to be taught by the almighty, omniscient Creator of heaven and earth! Lord, I have had some rally great teachers over my walk with You: Pastors, teachers in the classroom, on the radio, and Bible studies. BUT GOD! You, O Lord, are the greatest teacher because You dwell within me as the Holy Spirit and You lead me into ALL truth! Hallelujah!
