1 Corinthians 8:11-12 "So because of your superior knowledge, a weak believer for whom Christ died will be destroyed. And when you sin against other believers by encouraging them to do something they believe is wrong, you are sinning against Christ.
So if what I eat causes another believer to sin, I will never eat meat
again as long as I live—for I don't want to cause another believer to
stumble."
Dear Lord, selflessness is what love is all about and You are our best example. All You are asking of us is to put others before ourselves and the freedoms we have. If that means we don't exercise a freedom, then so be it. New believers especially, are very easily swayed by what they see and are taught at the first, because they have not had time to come to the full knowledge of the truth.
Sweet Savior, sometimes I am like Paul when he despaired that what he wanted to do, he did not, and what he did not want to do, those things he did. Lord, I never want to be a stumbling block to anyone. Help, me, Lord, and alert my soul immediately if I am about to commit an action or say something that would cause someone else to sin. I want to be like You!
