God's Timing Not Ours

Psalm 10

Sweet Savior,
David in his time is like us in ours.  We try to figure out why God does not act according to our timeline.  David sees wickedness all around him and wonders why You do not do something about it; why You do not just obliterate all who do evil.
In other Psalms, he says You are his ever present help in time of trouble, but then here he asks why You hide Your face and stand afar off in times of trouble.  He even intimates that You are just sitting around doing nothing when he says, "Arise, Lord!" in verse 12.
Then, as is his custom after his ranting about the wicked, he remembers who he is talking to.  In verses 14, 16-18; he reminds himself that You do see, that You: are King forever and ever, are the helper of the fatherless, do hear the cries of the afflicted and oppressed and encourage them if they put their trust in You.

In the history of just the 20-21st centuries things are not different than they were in David's time.  In World War II there was mass execution of Jews in Germany.  In the late 1900s there was genocide of millions of Christians in Sudan and now in Syria.  North Korea is threatening war with South Korea because of their stand for You, and pastors and other Christians are being held in Islamic and Communistic country prisons, tortured, and martyred for their faith in You. Here in the USA, there is a battle of words raging about homosexual rights, legalizing same sex marriage, and the "right" of women to abort their babies.  Just yesterday the ban was lifted that required a prescription for the "Morning After" pill for girls under 17!
Lord, You said that until Your return, there would be wars and rumors of wars.  Satan hates You and Your "Family" and "Chosen People" because He want to be god himself.  He thinks by eliminating us, he can thwart Your ultimate plan for salvation and Your return.  He wants to show that You cannot keep Your promises.  He is the liar and the father of lies, and is a roaring lion prowling around seeking who he can destroy.
BUT YOU, O, LORD!  You are far more mighty than he is and You cannot break Your promises.  Your plan will be fulfilled in Your timing.  Do You wait so more will come to know You as Savior and be saved and escape the horrors of hell?  I would that You would return today and take Your bride away...but not my will but Yours be done.
