Matthew 16:27-28
"For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his
angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have
done. “ I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
Sweet Lord, I know the first statement relates to Your second coming. The second puzzles me a bit because the disciples and those "standing here" 2000 years ago are all long in the grave. However; I believe You mean that after You arose, Your Kingdom began.
Thank You again, Lord, for loving us enough to tell us what the future holds. You told them and You tell us now too! You certainly did not have to do that, but You chose in grace and mercy to do so. May my life stand as a testimony of that grace, and may You be able to give me rewards and crowns I can cast at Your feet in worship.
