Days of Noah

2 Peter 2:5 “If He brought the flood on its ungodly, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others,”
Lord, through Dr Fowler here at Liberty University, You taught me that in genesis when you say that the world was full of violence, the word you used for violence is the Hebrew word “Hamas”.  Hamas is terrorism on steroids.  Noah’s word was filled with men, women, and children, who were following their father, Satan, and were committing horrible acts of terrorism against each other constantly.  I find it interesting that at present, there ia a ruling party in the Middle East with the name “Hamas”.  Hmmmmmm.
Lord, I found it very interesting last night as my hubby and were reading Jerry Jenkins and Tim Lehaye’s Left Behind series book “Armageddon”, that in the 16th chapter they have the character that is Satan in human form tell his 10 kings how he and God came from the same primordial soup and that just because You and the Father came out first, You lord it over him depriving him of the same standing or superior standing.  In his speech he goes through history, including Noah’s time, and says how he had almost won the human world, but You had a favorite so put Noah and his family in the Ark.  However; he still claims victory because he caused him to fall in the end.  He states that he will win in the end when he and all of his followers defeat You when You come in the Second Coming. Lord, I know the book is fiction based on truth, but also know that in Scripture You tell us that Satan does indeed think he will win in the end.
Lord, how his pride and arrogance blind him to the truth.  I do not know why You have allowed him to reign on this earth for these several thousand years, but Your ways are not my ways, and Your thoughts are much higher than my thoughts.  Who can know the mind of God?  Like Job, I have learned not to question You.  It is Your business not mine and I have come to trust You because Your plans and timing are perfect!  I praise You, Lord!
