1 John 5:11-12 "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life."
My Sweet Savior! What a precious promise. This is so simple..why do we make it so complex? Before I was saved, I thought I had life. Oh, I had human life, but not eternal life. Now I look back and know that I didn't because I was terrified of death. The moment I truly believed and yeilded my soul to Your keeping and asked You to be Lord, my fear of death disappeared. I finally realized that all that was "me" inside this shell of a body would live forever with You. That was such a precious blessing!
I know there are countless "church goers" who think they have life too...but they have never had the "Son". They are the saddest of all, for they are the ones who think they will hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant." but instead will hear You say "Depart from me, I never knew You." They will plead and tell You all of the good things they did in Your name, but will be banished to an everlasting hell, separated from the God they thought they were serving. I pray for all of them today, that You will send someone to them, like You sent someone to me, to share the truth with them before it is too late.
