Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of
malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of
sincerity and truth"
Lord, I have made some recipes in my time that turned out terrible because I added the wrong ingredient or the wrong measurements. If I want to have a dish turn out right I must pay attention and follow the recipe very closely. I believe You are instructing the church in much the same way.
In the Passover Festival, the Jews made "Matzo", a bread without yeast. Since you are our Passover Lamb, and everyday is our festival, our lives should be without sin so we can celebrate it aright. If I harbor malice and bitterness, it will infect those around me like yeast does in bread dough. I want my life to flow sincerity and truth into the lives of others.
