Romans 8:27-28 "And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."
Sweet Lord,
You showed me today that these two verses should never be separated. Verse 28 is always quoted alone, especially when someone is going through a rough path in the journey or has suffered a tragedy.
The fact that, "Father who knows all hearts" is not brought up. Lord, at any given time, what is in our hearts may not be the best. We forget the part that, "the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will." not ours. You may allow something in my life or the life of my family to bring good to others, not necessarily to me. For instance, if a believer is killed or seriously injured as Jennifer Barak was by a drunk driver, good things came of it as the "Family" came together and her family started a ministry that creates awareness, shows unmerited forgiveness, and blessings to others. You allowed things to happen to Lance and Dick to teach Your body how to lovingly minister to others in the body.
Lord, I want to be wholly Yours in everything, every day so as You know my heart, the Spirit may pray and plead for me according to Your perfect will!
