And to Brotherly Kndness, Love

2 Peter 1:7b“And to brotherly kindness, love,”

            O Sweet Savior!  There is no greater picture of true love than You.  I need to look at You and Your love after which I should fashion my life.  You wanted me to have an explicit picture of how love acts, so You gave Paul the unction to pen 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a:
Love:

·         Is patient

·         Is kind

·         Does not envy

·         Does not boast

·         Is not proud

·         Is not rude

·         Is not self-seeking

·         Is not easily angered

·         Keeps no record of wrongs

·         Does not delight in evil

·         But rejoices with the truth

·         Always protects

·         Always trusts

·         Always hopes

·         Always perseveres

·         Never fails

Lord, I need a “Love Meter” that hangs before my eyes that would make me look at it whenever I think about, speak to or about, or interact with another brother or sister!  But Lord, I have an internal meter that speaks in the “still small voice” to my heart.  His name is Your Holy Spirit!  Thank You for sending Him to me!  May I always hear his “metering” in my life.
