2 Peter 1:15 “And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.” (Knowledge, perseverance, self-control, godliness, goodness, brotherly kindness, and love.)
Lord, I can relate to Peter. I feel such a burden to my children, grandchildren, and for those who might read my feeble attempts at writing each day to remember not me, but what You have taught me through Your word. Ever since I have started going through these books verse by verse in the New Testament, I have such a deeper understanding and a much closer walk with You. I still read larger portions as well, but these times with You are my favorite times.
Peter knew his time was short, just like You did while You were here, so he wanted to put so much in writing to these dear Jewish believers so they would have something to go back to after he was gone to refresh their memories. I am so glad today that he did!
