2 Peter 1:8 “For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Lord, this verse is a wonderful promise! I certainly do not want to be ineffective or unproductive in my knowledge of You.
I believe the only folks who would not love to be around, and listen to, someone who exhibits these things would be the hardened unbeliever, for this behavior flies in there faces and convicts them of their own sin. To hide this, they become tough, arrogant, and abusive. They consider believers weak and unintelligent. Lord, I would rather be on Your side and suffer that abuse than to be on theirs any day for they are doomed for eternity and neither realize, nor will they believe their consequences are real.
Help me, Lord, to give grace to all that I might win some; to show brotherly kindness, godliness, self-control, and love as You would to others within the faith and without. Help me, Lord, to manifest these qualities at work and at home today in all situations.
