Do We Rreally Have God's Power?

1 Corinthians 4:19b-20 "and then I'll find out whether these arrogant people just give pretentious speeches or whether they really have God's power. For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God's power. "

Lord, there is a lot of "discussion" about religion and theology these days in politics, at schools, in churches and homes all over the world.  However; talk does not make a Christian.  It is the relationship with You and how that affects the way we live that is evident of the Spirit's power.  If we are true "Family" members following You very closely, our lives will be evidence of the "Fruit".

There is an old saying my dad used to use, "Talk is cheap. It takes money to buy whiskey."  I never really understood the "whiskey" part because there was never any on our home; but the concept stuck with me.  We can SAY anything, but if our lives don't back up our words we are arrogant fools.  That is especially true in the Kingdom.

Dearest Lord and magnificent Savior, please do not ever let me get to the point where I am all talk and no action when it comes to Your word.  I long to constantly walk in the Spirit so that my life counts for something other than human accolades.  I want to be a vibrant light that shines in integrity and purity so that others are drawn to You.
