1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”
Lord, the hope I have is go glorious, reassuring, and wonderful, why would I not be more than willing to share it if anyone should ask? Our hope is not just eternal life. Everyone has eternal life after death. Lord, I would not want eternal life here on earth with all of its trouble and sin. Our blessed hope is eternity with YOU in a perfect, peaceful, beautiful, sinless place. Who would not want that?
However; people are by nature skeptical, blinded by their sin and they do not believe there is such a place or such a One who would love them unconditionally and save them where they are. Some falsely believe as I once did, that their good works will outweigh the bad and in Your benevolence will allow them into Heaven when they die. They don’t, or will not accept that all of our best works are like filthy rags. The only “key” into Heaven is through the blessed sacrificial blood of the Savior.
Help us all, Lord, to boldly tell those everywhere of this marvelous truth.
