Only Eight Saved Out of Thousands

1 Peter 3: 20c "In it (the Ark), only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water." (Emphasis is mine)

Lord, it has never ceased to amaze me that out of the thousands of people on the earth at the time of Noah, and out of all of the people You, through Noah, preached to over that 120 years only eight people, Noah’s family, were saved.  Man’s heart is sick and desperately wicked, rebellious, prideful, arrogant, and foolish.  Who can know it?  It is much like Lot’s family being saved alone out of the population of two great cities.

            You could have used any means to destroy the population at that time, but in your foresight used water because You already had baptism for believers planned for thousands of years later.
“You are God alone from before time began,
You were on the throne, You are God alone.”
