God's design for Holy Living

1 Peter 2:22-23 “ ‘He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.’ (Isaiah 53:9) When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats.  Instead He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly.”

Sweet Lord, through all of these previous verses I see four recurring themes:
·         First- rid yourself of all pride and don’t worry about proving or protecting your reputation.  Leave that with God.
·         Second- Christ is, and always should be, our example.  Learn of Him and follow His example.  Do not do what comes naturally.
·         Third- Love and respect all people, not just those we feel deserve it, so we might win them to the Kingdom.
·         Fourth- Entrust ourselves to the One True Judge who judges justly.

Thank You, Lord, for leaving us such a perfect example to follow and for giving us Your Holy Spirit so we have the ability to follow it.  No Christian has an excuse.
