Stand for the Truth Not Compromise!

Jude 4 "For certain men whose condemnation was written about  long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."

My Lord and Sovereign Savior, I praise Your Holy name this morning!  Thank You for giving us the gift of discernment through Your Holy Spirit.  You give me/us the ability to discern truth from lies and truth from compromise.  That is a very special and precious gift!  You allow me to KNOW the truth and to be able to see the godless men's lies that are prompted by the enemy himself.  You do this through Your Holy Word.  However; if I am not in Your Word daily: studying, searching, meditating, praying through these passages, I can be deceived as well because I would not know the truth.
You did not have to leave Your Word with us...Your mind in print; but You did.  You not only left it for me, You gave me the author to teach me and to guide me into ALL truth!  Thank You!
There is a country song that says, "You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything."  That is true.  The issue is: just what am I standing for?  There are lots of folks who claim the name "Christian" who have fallen for compromise and the enemy's lies; so in fact are standing for what they have fallen for.  This is the saddest of all because Your Word is more accessible to folks now than ever before in history.
Someone told me a long time ago that if Satan cannot make you sin, he will make you busy.  I have found over the years that this is SO true in my life.  I also see in our day with all of the technology we have available to us, that if he can't make us sin, he will make us addicted to, and ultimately and idol worshipper it.  Now that we have I phones and portable computers etc., good Christian folks have become addicted to texting, Facebook, email, and work related tasks all day every day and You, unfortunately take the back seat to it all.  Lord, I have found myself drifting from time to time as well.  These things are not necessarily immoral (depending on the content of course), just time consuming.
Please keep me ever alert to its pull and help me to never lose sight of YOU in my day.  Keep me very close to You, Lord!  You are my life!
