Our Precious Gospel

1 Peter 4:6 2011 “For this reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.”

Lord, the gospel is so precious.  Good News!  You never desired they we should live a harmful sinful life but did not want to force us to love and obey You.  So You gave us choice knowing full well, from before the beginning, what choice that would be and what it would cost You for saving us.  Still You made us.  Yes, Lord, Your ways are much higher than ours and Your thoughts much higher than ours as well.

You preached the gospel first to Adam and Eve, then through Noah and in every generation since then.  Some have accepted, some ignored, and some heard and mocked, but Your word says that there is none with an excuse as nature itself declares it to them.

Thank You again, Lord, for making sure I heard it not once, twice, or three tomes, but heard it until Your love got through to me.  Yes, I will be, and am, judged by man as long I am in this earthly body, but my soul and spirit are judged by none other than You, and You, in Your grace and mercy, tell me in Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,”  Hallelujah!  Amen!
