1 Peter 5:9 “Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”
O Lord, thank You for these verses. The encouragement to stand firm in the faith is needed here in the US, but how much more in other areas of the world where being a Christian is actually against the law. Our brothers and sisters are being imprisoned and martyred for Your sake daily. I know it will get worse here as well. Tolerance (for everything except Christianity of course) is being insisted upon in our nation now. If one speaks out against sin, we are called intolerant and can now be charged with a federal crime of hate speech.
Lord, we really need revival in this country…or is it too late for us? I pray that it is not. My husband and I have been reading the Left Behind series written almost 10 years ago by Jerry Jenkins and Tim LeHaye. It is amazing what they write about the Revelation and how the Antichrist promotes tolerance and an abandon of all morality. He gives the people who will worship him permission to live as they want. Anyone (Christians and unregenerate Jews) who will not yield to that type of tolerance are hunted down and killed. Lord, preserve us!
