James 2:11 ‘For He who said, “Do not commit adultery.” Also said, “Do not commit murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a law breaker.”
Lord, this statement would be viewed as a “no brainer” except in our society adultery, unfortunately is not against the law. The concept of what You are saying here is easy enough to understand…so why is it so hard to follow? We excuse fits of anger, gossip, maligning others, bitterness, our pride and selfishness, but do not see ourselves as breaking Your whole law.
Whether we think things or say or do them, it is still sin in your eyes. Oh, Lord, I am still so sinful. Please cleanse me and make me white as snow! I long for heaven where I will not only be with You, but will not have this innate tendency to sin!
