Satan Knows God Too!

James 2:19 “You believe that there is a God. Good!  Even the demons believe that and shudder.”

Lord, I think in our day if I asked a lot of people from all over, the majority would say that there is some “Higher Power”, or that they are really not sure if there is.  Of course there are atheists who do not believe there is a god, let alone “The God”.  Your word calls them fools.  They are their own god.  Even the cultist believe there is some sort of god.  You have placed within us the knowledge that there is something bigger than ourselves, and that something is YOU!

Where we human stumble because of our fallen nature is figuring out to whom or what do we give our worship and praise.  Do we worship people? Creation? Things? Power or those in power?  The question must be asked… “What then do you do with Jesus?”

I believed from childhood that there was God…one God in three parts: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but it really did me no good because I believed it like I believed it like I believed that George Washington was the first president of the United States.  I knew Jesus dies for the sins of the world (although I had no idea what “sins” were), and I was part of the world so in my eyes I was OK.  There was no accountability to God.  I was far from You, Lord!

Definitely knowing there is a God, and knowing the One True God could not be more different.  Even Satan believes in You, but it does him no good for salvation!
